This cute baby is!
I know it’s probably a bad habit to start, but on the weekends when Andrew wakes up at 6am I get him from his crib and put him in bed with us. He and I fall back asleep until about 7:30 or 8am and I love it! Not only do I LOVE the extra two hours of sleep, but I love snuggling up next to his little tiny body. The weekend starts tomorrow for us, so I will be snuggling with this little guy in the morning.

As part of my 2012 goals I am trying to get fit for a number of different reasons, but let’s be honest. I just want to look good in my shorts this summer and be able to wear a bathing suit without feeling the need for a full body cover-up.
With that in mind I decided to try out a leg routine in my latest Fitness Magazine. The routine is aptly called, “Love Your Legs Workout”.
OMG….your legs are not going to love you! I did one set of each move and my legs were like J-E-L-L-O0000000. I contemplated bathing in the pool outside just to avoid having to walk upstairs after my workout.
You are suppose to do three sets of each move. I have only been able to successfully complete one set before crawling upstairs and looking for the Advil. It has to be working if I’m in this much pain right???

Happy Monday and Presidents day! Do you sometimes feel like there is only so much hard drive space in your brain and that is it full? We’ve somehow deleted old files (knowledge) to make room for the new stuff. I tried to list the first 5 American Presidents and couldn’t. I’m thinking this should be something that stays on the hard drive. Just in case you hit the delete button on these also, here is the list:

More good stuff…VOTING! With this being an election year it is so important that we all get out there and vote. It doesn’t matter what party you are affiliated with. What does matter is that you VOTE. The US has been at war fighting in countries ruled by dictators or leaders that simply fix the vote. No matter what your feelings are on our current political environment, we are still so lucky to be able to voice our opinion freely and to have our VOTE counted.

By now EVERYONE knows about Pinterest…right? It’s an amazing site where you are able to “Pin” all sorts of pictures, websites and ideas from the internet. You can organize them into “boards” to help create inspiration for your future home decor, crafts, recipes, wedding, style etc. The list could go on and on!
Today I wanted to share a great site I found thru Pinterest for a guide to hair. I have very thick hair and typically it’s shoulder length or longer. It takes me about 20 minutes to blow dry my hair alone!! That doesn’t even account for any curling or straight ironing! Hence why the ponytail is my go-to style. Until now! I found The Small Things Blog thru Pinterest. Kate is a hair dresser and shares tons of great tips from hair products to styling. What I LOVE about her site is that she has quick “how-to” videos for those of us that are truly clueless on how to style our hair!
The top left and top middle images are of Kate modeling her style called “Knotty or Nice“. I styled my hair this way for Christmas day and received lots of compliments. My sweet sister-in-law said I looked liked I had stepped out of an Ann Taylor Loft add…AWESOME!!
Be sure to check out her post on styling products here. The hair spray is life changing! I was able to find all of the products at my local Ulta with the exception of the Uplifting Foam.
