Featured on How He Asked

I could not be more excited right now…hold on…happy dance.  No, HAPPY dance!!!!!!!!!!!!  Megan and Ryan’s engagement session has been featured on How He Asked.  This is a fun new website that features unique engagement sessions and the story behind how the couple met and became engaged.

I can now cross off another 2012 goal ‘to be featured on a wedding blog’.  I’m hoping to cross this one off many more times this year!

Association of Bridal Consultants Meeting-Arrowhead Country Club

Last week I had the opportunity to attend and photograph the Arizona branch of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) monthly meeting hosted by Arrowhead Country Club.

Hiring a bridal/wedding consultant is one of the best things your can do as a bride.  You can spend countless hours on-line looking at wedding details, but do you know how to pull it all together into a cohesive theme?  Wedding planning is fun, but are you prepared to put together a detailed timeline for each vendor and event that will take place at your wedding?  You know that a wedding costs money, but have you and your fiance discussed what elements are the most important to you and planned your wedding/budget around these elements?  When a groomsmen goes MIA, the DJ wants to know when to start the grand entrance and the caterer is lost do you want to be in charge of getting it all straightened out?

If the above paragraph makes you start to hyperventilate then you should definitely hire a wedding planner.  If it doesn’t…you might want to attend the next ABC meeting and consider a career change!

Arrowhead Country Club hosted the event and had their catering staff on hand with some very tasty treats!

Regina with Meant 2Be Events provided the candy bar…so, bummed I didn’t sneak a piece!

Chocolate Accents by Taryn Camp.

Kool Party Rentals provided the decor for this chic little area to relax.

I am a huge coffee lover, so I think this would be a great idea to have at a wedding, not to mention that the owners are super sweet! An espresso bar provided by Espresso Subito.

As wedding season is about to kick-off, this meeting was all about networking and chatting with industry friends. As you can see, I think it was a total success!

Holiday Portrait Sessions

It’s that time of year again to start planning for your holiday portrait session!  I know it’s still hot outside, but I promise that Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be here soon!  Not to mention that wedding season is about to kick-off which means it’s important to schedule your session now!  Here are all of the details.

Cost

Option 1: $100

Option 2: $125

What’s Included:

Both options include: 1 hour photo shoot at the location of your choice with up to 4 family members.  On-line gallery of all of your images and a feature on the blog.

Option 1:  One digital image of your choice for printing and 4 images (watermarked) uploaded to Facebook (if you choose).

Option 2: All digital images on CD and 25 cards and envelopes (see examples below).

What to Wear:

No need to get all matchy-matchy or start ordering matching denim shirts for the entire family (sadly-we did this when I was younger…ahh the 80s!).  Instead look for coordinating colors.  Check out this family session from last year when they did a great job of coordinating their color scheme without being too matchy-matchy.  Old Navy and the Gap are great places to shop when trying to put your family wardrobe together.

How to book:

E-mail me by clicking here!  Weekends book up fast and availability is limited, so book now!!

Why?

Why not!  Why go to the mall for the same so-so pictures every year?  This year do something different and get pictures that you will LOVE!  You will enjoy the experience instead of dreading it and you will have custom holiday cards that no one else will have!

Here are just a few sample cards (all text can be customized):

Thank You

I recently received the sweetest e-mail from one of my Spring brides and thought I would share it.  Her kind words warms my heart and makes me even more excited for the Fall wedding season.

“Suzanne -

We received the packages today.  I love the albums, the little ones are so cute:)  My mom is going to love it and I know it will be in her purse for showing for the next month!  It was a pleasure working with you and we have been very satisfied with all of our pictures from engagement to boudoir to wedding.  I’m glad we took full advantage of you!  I would recommend you to friends and will definitely keep your contact info handy for any other life events that need to be captured.  I continue to look at your blog weekly; I enjoy seeing everyone’s photos of such wonderful moments.  Thanks for giving us some great memories to hang on to, we appreciate your hard work!

Shannon & Cory”

Shannon and Cory were a joy to work with and their wedding images are among my favorite this year.
