Chandler, Arizona Wedding at Inspirador: Carl+Theresa

I met Theresa several months ago when she first e-mailed me about photographing their wedding. We met at a Starbucks and instantly connected.  I love when brides are organized and detailed oriented!  Theresa also mentioned that they would be having a Catholic Wedding.  I could relate since I too had a Catholic wedding and knew what it was like going thru the marriage prep classes (good stuff…just time consuming/stressful when you are planning a wedding too!).  Carl and Theresa were married recently at the All Saints Catholic Newman Center at ASU in Tempe, followed by their reception at the Inspirador.  The was my second time to shoot at Inspirador in just two months, so it was fun to go back and shoot at some of my favorite spots.

Theresa was very relaxed before the ceremony which made it super easy and fun to photograph!

I love this picture of Therea’s shoes that my second shooter Jodi captured.

The church on campus is quite cozy, but I love shooting here.  Below are a few of my favorite images from the ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed over to Inspirador for the reception and more pictures.  This one of the groomsmen I like to call, “To smile or not to smile”.   At every wedding the guys ask the same question, “Are we smiling in this one?”.   You know-they want to look tough.    We just got done doing the “smiling” picture and now were going to do the “no smiling” picture.   I think this is proof that guys get the giggles too!

I LOVE my alone time with the bride and groom.  I know we are always short on time and couples want to get back to their guests, but I always make the most of the time and our surroundings.  Here are some of my favorites with Carl and Theresa.

Seriously…isn’t Theresa stunning!

While I was taking the images above, Jodi was doing a great job getting some detail shots inside.  I again rented the Canon 100mm marco lens for the ring shot below.

Theresa had a few surprises planned, like having a family member play the accordion while her and her father danced the polka.  She also was in for a surprise herself when her maid of honor and sister let the secret out that Theresa used to be a HUGE New Kids on the Block fan.  Ummm…weren’t we all? Please don’t girrrrrl.

It was time to get this party started!

One last favorite.

Carl and Theresa it was so much to be a part of your wedding day! Thank you!

theresa monaco - Thank you Suzanne and Jodi!!! You were both SO incredible to work with. Neither Carl nor I are very comfortable in front of a camera but you made it a lot of fun for us.

The wedding went by so fast. THANK YOU for capturing it for us and giving us incredible images to remember it by! We can’t wait to see more.

Again, you were both awesome and I’m so happy we selected you to be part of our day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
